Ive made a mix-tape for my Husband.. He's hasn't got it yet, he shall receive it tomorrow when we go to watch New Moon.
(Yeah I booked our tickets on Sunday, so fucking what??)
I thought that it would be fun to list my reason why I love the songs on this tape and why they ended up on it.
I am gonna leave out the titles of these songs, so
A: You and the Husband dont know what the songs are, This is more so that the mix-tape is still a surprise for him, and more importantly the contents of the tape is still a romantic marital gesture, so to speak.
B. I think it will fun for you to guess what song could possibly go with the my reasons.
Obviously tomorrow he will know whats on the tape, but the idea of him reading this post, and him getting excited about the tape, then hearing it is quite fun.
1. I heard this in a film once and was for ever hooked. It makes me feel like a 9yr old playing in my Grandparents Garden with my uncles, waiting on ice cream Vans in Summer times. 6 weeks holidays. Scooters and skate boards...
2. This Reminds me of the film BIG I dont think its in the film. But This song makes me feel soooooo Happy. I imagine growing old gracefully and this is the background music that would accompany that scene. I have no worries growing old and dying when hearing this song. It often makes me cry. Happy tears, so beautiful.
3.I just think this is a well written song. When I first heard it I had it on repeat for weeks nothing else. I couldn't get my head around the words, the beat, the simplicity of it all. and yet so much is going on in the song and it blends perfectly. I have a rant called 'Potter" in the book and this was the song/beat I wrote it too. The one line that i first came up with straight away when hearing this song was
" Rather than stand corrected, you'd rather sit and band my prospective"
4.This is one of the best instrumentals in the world... Ever.. i think if there was a sound for the term every-things going to be ok. Then this is what it would sound like.
5.The Harmonies that theses girls have on this song blow me away, The bridge is so erratic and slightly angry and yet.. Crystal clear.
6.Funeral music,,, i hear this when I wake up most mornings.. When I am getting ready for a debate.. When I am concluding how beautiful someone or thing or place is.. Its what I think Life sounds like.
7. The music Video to this song is the best one ever. Also the words.. 'I dont shine if.." and "magic soaking my spine" The subtle description used is truly magical. This song reminds me why I am in love with love and all it can do and bring.
8.The first person I ever loved. This is our song. When I hear it I am instantly transported back to that Levis;s store in Croydon, sq dancing to it with him on the shop floor.
9. Foxy Brown is the best. This show why. Flow is impeccable. spitting is tight.
10. This song is the song I revert to when I need to rhyme.. It always gets me going.. I get a funny feeling in my belly when I hear this song.. I feel like I am bullet-proof. I am reminded that I am not scared of anything or anyone when this is playing. This is what Beautiful sounds like
11. This is what magic sounds like. This song sounds so wise.. I wanna be as wise as this song sounds. It sounds like it has no worries, no burdens. I feel like I ma able to remember previous lives when I hear this song..
12. Battle music.. The bridge is amazing. I sometimes sit still and listen to this for hours trying to pick out new sounds.
13. This reminds me of Paul smith and my boy Julian. It reminds me of finally moving away from a ex and starting to remember all the things I did before that relationship.. This song represents space.. so its title is fitting
14. Second verse from Method man. The third from Rza are two if not the best verse in Hip-hop history.. wow.. When I get lazy with Rhyming I listen to this to remind my self what level I wanna be at.. This song also reminds me of long coach journeys with my grandparents.. Learning how to rhyme..
15. I dont think this song need any explanation. If fate had a background song this would be it
16. Wedding song. this song os vulgar and wrong in so many ways, but the fact that he gets the story, the scene of love through is testament to his skills. The best rapper that ever lived.
17. Love this kind of music in general.. Amazing
18. Reminds of working in Box-fresh. I miss those days..
19. This is what my childhood sounded like..
20. & 21 had to put both couldn't decide. This is my manifesto...

I think Angelina jolie and Ray LaMontagne had a love child called Rob..
I cant get over this... Seriously.. How can so much beauty be in one place?
Let me bring you up to speed:
* I did a post about Twilight on the 7Th September (Here)
* After watching it online. I Saw it in Tesco's and got it. Since then I have watched it in full most evenings and skipped through to my favourite bits every morning before uni. That's the way that I am. I watched "Meet Joe Black' for like a year straight every evening without fail I love that film, I love the script, the acting, the soundtrack. Although Twilight doesn't tick all of those boxes, there are a few tracks on the sound track, not all of them, just one or two. That I like. There was one song that I couldn't find that's in the film but wasn't on the soundtrack. Or so I thought. (More on that later)
*I Had no idea that the film was part of a series of books. So obviously I got the first book... Finished it in like two days. The second book in 4 days. The third another 4 and the forth book I did in like 5 days. Then I read the fifth never to be released book online. (That one is the best by far shames it may never come out) All the while still repeatedly watching the film. Why? I like to dissect things... and also like I said in the previous post anything to do with love being in the wrong place and having to fight for its existence I am all for.
We gotta fight for this love init Cheryl?
*Robert Pattinson plays Edward in the film. When I first watched this film I thought he looked a lot like this fat pirate I used to kinda go out with.
I call him "The ex" a fat pirate because that's how he dresses, like a pirate, and the fat came after we stop talking.
Although with all the coke he dose I am not sure how he's fat? You gotta be a misfortunate motherfucker to be a fat coke head. Weird boy he is.. Handsome no doubt.. But weird. The whole pirate thing was OK because I fucking love pirates.. Jack sparrow could get it anytime of the year.
So obviously with Robert Pattinson looking like the 'kinda ex' I never play/ed him much mind, you know trying not to remember my mistakes, but as time has gone by admittedly.. I'm like "wow" Rob is like a male Angelina jolie.
His facial features are a little bit to perfect.
Look

SO BACK TO TODAY
I get the special 2 disk version of the film, I like all the extra stuff you know, I have 4 copies of Donnie Darko for this exact reason.
So I watch the extras, all the while thinking, I got to find out what this song is.
I'm like "I know that Ray LaMontagne would have been credited on this soundtrack, also I know ALL of his work. So who is this dude with that 'Ray like' voice? . "
The director starts talking about Robert and that he's a great musician.. Blah blah blah and that they put two of his songs in the movie.. One of which is the song that I have been trying to locate. (In complete shock)
It is in-fact on the Soundtrack but because I was only looking for Rays name I bypassed everything else on it. Even Roberts names.
Anyway I can not get over the fact that this man can sing like this and looks the way he dose.
Fuck the ex and similarities. I full on swoon over Robert now It can't be helped.
listen..

I just cant get my brain around it.
So I am going to pretend to myself that Angelina jolie and Ray LaMontagne had a Juno type situation ages ago, and Robert is there love child.
Fuck
Its on par with Angelina jolie

having a voice like Mariah circa 1990 before she got on that breathy shit..

Love is hotwings..
Today was another good day at Uni...
I am starting to love photography more then any one thing I have claimed to love... Its will never leave me and I will never leave it.. In around about way I think for once I am quite happy with being.. Single...
Although I am still fascinated by love and the people that are in it, Films that study it and those that run away from it.
So when I was speaking with my sister today about the film we are gonna make for Track 12 Vauxhall and his Barbour jacket project.
she pointed me in the direction of this film that look simply amazing.
I dont think its at the cinema anymore so amazon it is.
(Dont mind the bitch introducing the trailer, trust me its heavy)
P.S Micheal Cera would get it.. Sorry I like the geeks..

Emma Gibney
So I know the past few blogs have been about photography, and not my normal emotional rantings, and although I still have a few Rats to kill, I cant complain. So I am using this EMO-FREE era of my life to promote good creativity.
At the moment obviously photography is all my life is revolving around.
I am seeing it in a new light. Which is what I wanted. Needed.
To be honest though even if I wasn't doing this degree and finding a new way to view pictures I still would have posted this work by my little sister Emma Gibney because its fucking fantastic.
Obviously not my real sister, but just as good as, actually she is part of a triplet (Emma Wendy Eve) set of girls (Whom are not related but they might as well be), all three I consider to be my family. All three are gonna do well without fail in their chosen fields.. Not gassing its just a fact.
Anyway Emma is a photographer.
have a look at her stuff on her website and on her flickr...

I am scared to watch this
purely based on the fact the trailer alone got me so frustrated and even made me cry. Seriously. Deep. I dont know when its going to be released over here but its a must see...
Admittedly I dont like watching films like this. I get to concerned and start worry about all the problems in the world.
Which is no good.
We cant save the world, the best we can do is fix our selves sought out our own problems at home, and lead by example, and help where we can.
